I Picked up a pen, i wrote my own deliverance.

 Hi! My (pen) name is Eliann Jay Kildare/E.J. Kildare (EJK), and I am a former childhood "Matilda" with a lifelong love of reading (but sadly minus the superpowers). My passion for writing was awakened at 9 years old thanks to a school friend whose biggest aspiration was to become a novelist. Ever since then I have have been cultivating my own writing skills, most recently as a creative writing graduate from the University of Oxford’s Department for Continuing Education (now Oxford Lifelong Learning). My main areas of focus are sci-fi, fantasy, fairy tale retellings, and cozy horror, for both adults and kids. However I am always open to stretching my creative wings and exploring any genre that strikes my fancy. As an avid bookworm and TV/movie addict, my mind is an endless rabbit hole of fictional interests, which I sometimes yap about on my podcast Stories That Shaped Me. 

Every writer has a list of books and writers that shaped them and their personal journey. Although my list is far too long to fit on just one page, here are five names each that have left a lasting impact on me:
