I Picked up a pen, i wrote my own deliverance.

Hi! My (pen) name is Eliann, and I am a former childhood "Matilda" with a lifelong love of reading (but sadly minus the superpowers). My passion for writing was awakened at 9 years old thanks to a school friend whose biggest aspiration was to be a novelist. Ever since then I have nursed that same aspiration myself, with a particular focus on writing middle grade literature. However, I am always open to stretching my creative wings and exploring any genre that strikes my fancy. I've recently completed a creative writing program with Oxford University, and I hope to continue growing as a writer beyond my academic pursuits. 

Every writer has a list of books and writers that shaped them and their personal journey. Although my list is far too long to fit on just one page, here are five names each that have left a lasting impact on me:
